Houston was built by people who took risks and put in the work. It became the largest city in Texas because its citizens were free to build, and because its government, at its best, stayed out of their way and did its job.

Campaign for Houston exists to support candidates who share that conviction. We back conservative leaders for city, county, and regional office who hold to the principles that built this city: limited government, personal responsibility, free enterprise, and respect for the families who live here.

We support government that works. That means honest budgets, accountable departments, and basic services delivered on time and at a fair price. Taxpayers should expect their money to go toward results, and public officials should be able to show them.

We support public safety as the first duty of local government. Every neighborhood deserves to be safe. We stand with the men and women who protect this city, and with candidates who will fund them, back them, and enforce the law fairly.

Houston's namesake understood what public service demands. Sam Houston put it plainly:

"Do right and risk the consequences."

That is the standard we ask of the candidates we support.
